Pengambilan Keputusan pada Laki-laki untuk Menjalin Hubungan Biseksual Simultan

This study aimed to comprehend the decision making stages of men who practicing concurrent bisexual relationship and its contributing factors. This study used phenomenology approach by undertaking deep interview to four male subjects who are currently practicing concurrent bisexual relationship. The result of this study showed that on pre-editing stage, the subjects were faced with two choices whether having concurrent bisexual relationship or having relationship with one partner only and the four subjects chose the former one as a promising alternative. Furthermore, on the dominance testing stage, the subjects were worried if their relationship status were revealed. On the dominance structuring stage, the subjects were committed to keep their relationship secret. Moreover, decision making process was influenced by several contributing factors, such as circumstances, preferences, emotions, actions, and beliefs.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami tahap-tahap pengambilan keputusan pada laki-laki untuk menjalin hubungan biseksual simultan beserta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi fenomenologi melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap empat orang subjek laki-laki yang menjalani hubungan biseksual simultan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap pertimbangan awal subjek dihadapkan pada dua pilihan antara menjalin hubungan biseksual simultan atau memilih salah satu pasangan saja dan keempat subjek memilih hubungan biseksual simultan sebagai suatu pilihan yang menjanjikan. Selanjutnya, pada tahap menguji hal dominan, yang ditemukan adalah kekhawatiran jika status hubungannya terbongkar. Akhirnya, pada tahap menata hal dominan, yang ditemukan adalah subjek berkomitmen untuk menjaga kerahasiaan hubungan. Pengambilan keputusan ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti faktor lingkungan, faktor keinginan atau harapan, faktor emosi, faktor tindakan, dan faktor keyakinan.
